Largely thanks to Demi Moore posing for the cover of Vanity Fair while seven months pregnant in 1991, the beauty of a pregnant woman is now being celebrated, not covered up. I was thrilled to have the opportunity to capture maternity images yesterday of a lovely mother-to-be, with her child and husband, in my natural light studio in Falmouth. The diffused window light studio setup, together with my amazing Canon 5D Mark II portrait camera plus retouching techniques, enabled me to create a variety of soft, intimate images to document this special time – artistic portraits that I’m sure my client and her husband will cherish forever.
To build my portfolio, I’m offering complimentary Pregnancy as Art portrait sessions in my Falmouth studio through December 2009 to mothers-to-be who would like artistic portraits to recall and cherish this special time in their lives.
